You know how after Halloween when you go to a store, or watch TV, or turn on the radio you start hearing Christmas music? And it is always the same songs. Not that there’s anything wrong with Bing Crosby and Mariah Carey but we’ve heard those songs a thousand times.
Last year Captain Billy’s Whiz Bang released an original treatment of the familiar song Silent Night. This is a really touching and unique song that sounds simultaneously traditional and modern.
That got us thinking that there must be hundreds of original Christmas songs produced in the past 20 years. We put together playlists of indie and alternative artists to to showcase those songs. Pandora mixtapes are a fun feature of the platform. There are at least 80 songs that play in a random order. Listen for hours and get something new every time. And you don’t need a subscription, just listen and enjoy.
