Uh… nowhere. We are still here working on new music and videos and performances.

The next single is scheduled for release on August 20. It is a haunting, dark ambient track titled “Where’d You Go?”. This is a song that came out of the songwriting workshop Todd did with Keppie and Benny a couple months ago. The song is a really simple arrangement with an acoustic guitar providing the framework and sampled strings providing the color to provide a canvas for a delicate and melancholy vocal melody.

The workshop was useful to show different techniques. Todd was also able to connect with other songwriters so hopefully there will be some productive collaborations in the future.

Although we didn’t expect anything to be released from the songs written in the workshop this song kept calling us as something to polish and release. There were some interesting things that came up in the mixing and mastering process and if there is time Todd will create some Behind-The-Scenes videos about how those worked.

We are also trying CD Baby as a distributor for this single. We have been using DistroKid with great success but wanted to try a different model to see how that works before releasing the full album which is still expected this autumn.
